POS¶
The POS tab stores the connection details Pixaro uses to communicate with a store's POS provider.
Access¶
Navigation path: Settings > Stores > Locations > select a store > POS
POS Fields¶
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| POS Type | POS provider type. Available options are GILBARCO, VERIFONE, and CRONY. |
| User Name | POS username or account ID. |
| Password | POS password or credential. |
| Url | POS endpoint URL. |
Save POS Settings¶
- Select the correct POS Type.
- Enter username, password, and URL.
- Click Save.
Pixaro updates the POS settings for the selected store.
Why POS Settings Matter¶
POS configuration supports workflows that depend on POS data, including item data, transactions, register mapping, and Video Intelligence transaction review.
Best Practices¶
- Verify POS credentials before saving.
- Update the password in Pixaro when POS credentials rotate.
- Confirm the POS URL is reachable from the backend environment.
- Select none only when the store is not connected to a POS.
