Orders Insights

The Orders Insights dashboard is available at:

https://app.pixaro.ai/insights/orders

Feature Overview

Orders Insights helps store owners and managers understand ordering performance across channels, time periods, and store locations.

Use this dashboard to review order volume, fulfillment outcomes, item matching, peak order times, trends, top-selling items, and order history.

Access and Navigation

Navigation path: Order Management > Insights > Orders

Required permissions: Insights access. Depending on the account setup, this may be granted through InsightsTabView or InsightsAll.

Filters

The filter bar controls all dashboard charts and tables.

Filter Options
Date Range Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, Last Month, Last 3 Months, Custom Date
Custom Start Date Available when Custom Date is selected.
Custom End Date Available when Custom Date is selected.
Location Select a store/location. Defaults to the currently selected store.

Use Apply to refresh the dashboard with selected filters.

Use Reset to return to the default Last 7 Days view for the selected store.

Dashboard Sections

Orders by Channel

The Orders by Channel chart shows order status counts by channel.

It groups orders by:

  • Fulfilled
  • Rejected
  • Cancelled
  • Timeout

The chart helps store teams compare channel performance and identify channels with higher exception rates.

Item Fulfillment

The Item Fulfillment chart shows how items were fulfilled by channel.

It includes:

  • Matched items
  • Substituted items
  • Cancelled items

Use this section to understand how often store employees are able to fulfill orders as requested, and where substitutions or cancellations are occurring.

Orders by Day & Time

The Orders by Day & Time heatmap shows order volume by day of week and hour of day.

Color meanings:

Color/State Meaning
No Orders No order activity for that time slot.
Low Activity Lower order volume.
Peak Activity Higher order volume.

Hover over a time slot to view order examples for that day and hour, including order number, channel, value, and customer name when available.

Use this chart to identify busy hours and plan staffing or preparation.

The Orders Trends chart shows order volume over time.

It includes:

  • Total Orders
  • Uber Eats
  • Grubhub
  • DoorDash

The chart automatically groups data by day, week, or month based on the selected date range.

Top Selling Items

The Top Selling Items table shows the best-selling items for the selected filters.

Column Meaning
Item Item name.
Units Sold Quantity sold.
Revenue Revenue generated by that item.

Use this table to identify popular items and review product performance.

Order History

The Order History section lists orders for the selected date range and location.

It shows:

  • Order number
  • Customer name
  • Order date and time
  • Platform/channel
  • Order status
  • Order total

Expand an order to view item details:

  • Item name
  • Quantity
  • Price
  • Total
  • Items total
  • Tax
  • Tip
  • Grand total

The list loads more orders as the store team scrolls when more results are available.

Import Orders

Click Import Orders to upload an order report.

Current import support:

Field Value
Channel DoorDash
Report type DoorDash detailed transactions
File format .csv

To import orders:

  1. Click Import Orders.
  2. Confirm the channel is DoorDash.
  3. Click Choose detailed transactions CSV.
  4. Select the DoorDash detailed transactions CSV file.
  5. Click Upload.

If the upload succeeds, Pixaro displays a success message.

Import Validations

Validation Message or Behavior
No file selected Pixaro shows Please choose a report file.
Unsupported file format Select a .csv detailed transactions file.
Import fails Pixaro shows the returned error message or Order import failed.

The contents of the CSV must match the DoorDash detailed transactions report format expected by Pixaro.

Export and Refresh

The current Orders Insights page does not provide a visible export button.

The dashboard refreshes when:

  • Filters are applied.
  • Filters are reset.
  • Location is changed.
  • Date range is changed.
  • The dashboard is reopened.

Troubleshooting

Issue What to Check
No analytics data appears Confirm the selected date range and location.
A channel is missing from charts Confirm the store has order data for that channel in the selected date range.
Imported orders do not appear Confirm the imported file is the DoorDash detailed transactions CSV and reapply filters.
Heatmap looks empty Expand the date range or confirm orders exist for the selected store.
Top-selling items are missing Confirm order item data exists for the selected date range.
Order history stops loading Scroll near the bottom of the order history list to load more results.
Counts differ from the Orders page Confirm both pages use the same store and date range.

Best Practices

  • Use Orders Insights after order data has been imported or received from connected channels.
  • Compare the same date range across all charts before making operational decisions.
  • Use the heatmap to identify staffing and preparation windows.
  • Review item fulfillment to find items that often require substitution or cancellation.
  • Use order history to investigate specific customer orders behind chart changes.
